In line with its strategy to increase
its footprint in the market,

has tied-up with Chennai-based
Accel Frontline. The company has plans to promote its new motherboard
range.
Explaining the rationale behind this,
Sunil Grewal, sales head, Gigabyte Technology India, shared that they
are also planning to open up 6 exclusive service centers for the new
set of motherboards in Mumbai, Bengaluru, Delhi, Kolkata, Hyderabad
and Kochi. These exclusive service centers will help Gigabyte in
creating a good understanding of the new set of motherboards for its
customers.
“We have tied-up with Accel for the
exclusive selling of 2011 select motherboards. Gigabyte has
standardized these features across our entire range of motherboards
featuring '2011 Select Motherboard' logo, based on the Intel H61, P41
and G41Express chipsets, as well as NVIDIA M52 and M68 chipsets for
the AMD platform. Key Gigabyte technologies featured in these
motherboards include class-leading 4-phase power design,
next-generation high quality components including lower RDS (on)
MOSFETs, ferrite fore chokes, and Japanese solid capacitors,
proprietary Dual BIOS 3TB+ HDD technology, Realtek ALC889 audio
codec, which provides 108dB signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) with 7.1
channel sound playback, 3x USB power and much more,” said Grewal.
Sharing more news on the same, Grewal
said that 90% of their business comes through channels and they have
a set up of 140-150 premium partners. Gigabyte claims to make 18-20%
of its business from Mumbai and 7-8% from Bengaluru.
“We are the major player in the
motherboard range and we are proud to say that we have the best
products. Channel is very important to us and we are also planning to
increase our channel base in the timeline,” added Grewal. Talking
about the market strategy, Grewal clarified that they are also
planning to hold channel meets and roadshows, which will help them in
building relationship with channel partners.
