GIBA launches ‘Kavach’, a business boosting scheme for members

Goa IT Business Association (GIBA) has launched a special scheme for its members. ‘Kavach’ is a special business boosting initiative that aims at accelerating business during the festive seasons. The association has tied up with prominent vendors and service centers to provide value added services to customers. The aim of the initiative is to attract end users to the offline channel partners by giving them an assured support and service.

GIBA inaugurated the scheme on 1st August, 2015. Nagraj Prabhu, president of GIBA said that ‘Kavach’ was an exclusive initiative of the association that aimed at members benefit.

“Kavach is all about advance mapping of festive business boosting and steps to assure support and service to customers”, Prabhu said.

Under the scheme the brands have agreed to offer special festive schemes to GIBA members. GIBA is also negotiating with the service centers for special window for its members.

“Kavach intends to boost sales during festive seasons. With this vendors get opportunity to market their products. GIBA members will fill the gap between sales and services by giving value added services to the end users. We are also negotiating with the service centers give fast track service for repair and replacement to end users”, Prabhu said.

Prabhu said that GIBA members have also signed a MoU to provide quick and efficient services to the customers. Under the MoU, all the GIBA members will support the products sold by any of the GIBA members.

“All the GIBA members irrespective of their locations, will support the product sold by any of the members provided that product has a serviceable support. This is to ensure that our customers will not suffer because of delay in services”, he said.

Prabhu claimed that major vendors like Western Digital, D Link, HP, Canon i Ball, etc. have extended their support to ‘Kavach’. He said that the initiative has kick started as a pilot project and open for any kind of improvement.

“We have launched the program as a pilot project and we are going to market our initiative on various platforms. We will come up with a better version of Kavach soon”, Prabhu said.
