Giant leap for Sea Infonet: Thanks to Kaspersky

revenue of Sea Infonet has made a
landmark jump taking the consolidated revenue of the company to more
than Rs 6.5 crore for the FY 09-10, marking an increase of over Rs 3
crore gross revenue earnings. The company is one of the three
'Platinum Partners' of Kaspersky in the East with exclusive regional
distribution rights in the small office and enterprise segment.

the last FY, we had concentrated thoroughly over our Kaspersky
channel business with about 75 percent of our consolidated revenue
coming in from Kaspersky alone. Besides, we also undertook confidence
building support among our channel partners. This explains our
success in the turnover,” said Biswajeet Saha, Joint Director, href="https://www.dqweek.com/sea-infonet-on-an-expansion-mode">Sea

However,
the
company might opt for a rework of its distribution and channel
policy as soon as the distribution model of Kaspersky becomes clear
which might be by the end of November. “Right now, the distribution
model of Kaspersky is undergoing change. Sometime back, the
distribution was made though an ND, however, now they have come up
with three-tier partner model; namely, Silver, Gold and Platinum and
exclusive distribution rights have also been revised,” added Saha.

Also,
Sea
Infonet is happy with its present product portfolio and is not
planning any additional brands in its range of products. “We are
happy with our present business with Kaspersky and are not
considering any new additions at the present scenario,” concluded
Saha.
