Chennai-based GBS Systems & Services conducted its 5th standalone annual
computer expo in Chennai on June 27-29. The event was inaugurated by R
Ravichandran, Director-South Asia Sales, Intel and was supported by Intel, IBM,
Numeric, Epson, HP, Canon, Microsoft, Lenovo, Compaq. "We regularly conduct this
expo twice a year during January and June, as business is at its peak during
these months. This year was significant for us, as we have completed the expo
successfully for the fifth consecutive year," said K Nagendran, CEO, GBS Systems
& Services. The three-day expo saw around 1,000 visitors and GBS managed to get
145 bookings for both desktops and laptops.
"Customers expect more buying options, huge discounts and offers. We keep
their expectations in mind and offer as much as discounts we can," he said. Also
he feels that such kind of expos would definitely increase the mindshare of the
company among the customers. "We can easily reach the customers through these
events and there are more chances of having a long-lasting relationship with
customers, which ultimately solidifies the goodwill of the company," Nagendran
averred.

residential area in Chennai apart from having one in KK Nagar (Chennai) and
Madurai. It also has plans to open its own tower in the IT corridor of Chennai.
"We would be shortly opening an exclusive tower for ourselves in the Chennai IT
corridor named GBS towers. Apart from having our IT showroom, the tower would
contain all other commercial aspects," Nagendran informed.
