In a move to further strengthen the G-10 Association, the present 12 members of the association who form the main committee have gathered together to take certain key initiatives and have also announced the induction of four new committee members into the organization. With this, the number of committee members of the association has reached 16 and it will be extended up to 20 in the next couple of months. The decisions were taken in the presence of Pawan Sethia, President; Jithender Tatia, VP; and Rajendra Kamdar, Secretary, besides other committee members.

Vijay Baid of Vijex & Company, Murali of Pelikan Office Automation, Kailash Bajaj of Heena Computers and Uttam Solanki of Niraj Infosys are the four new committee members.

Meanwhile, the association is also planning to appoint a legal advisor and an advocate to handle the legal issues of its members and on behalf of the association. This comes in the wake of recent series of raids being conducted by MNC majors to counter fake products in the market, where there is an allegation that some genuine innocent resellers are also being targeted and affected by such raids.

The association is also gearing up to organize a major channel event in April and bring both registered resellers and MNCs on the same platform to discuss several issues being faced in the business. "We are planning to invite more than 500 resellers in Tamil Nadu for this program and we will invite all MNC majors to solve the pending issues," disclosed Sethia.

G-10 is also planning to increase its membership base by inviting more resellers to join the association. "We have fixed up an entry fee of Rs 100 and annual membership fee of Rs 100 for the resellers," said

Tatia.

"We are very strict about our members dealing with fake products. If anyone is proved guilty he will be removed from the membership immediately and all benefits enjoyed by him will be deprived instantly," pointed out

Sethia.

On the other hand, the association is also cautioning the MNCs on targeting the genuine and innocent resellers in the name of raids. "We have sent a communication to all MNCs that they should conduct raids only in the presence of the owner of the shop (reseller) and key officials of the association, with proper background details to prove it. Moreover, they should also prove them guilty at the time of raid itself and should not take stocks in their possession to prove it later," he explained.

However, the association has made it clear that the grey issue will be handled by MNCs only.
