FUJIFILM unveils 12 new digital cameras

FUJIFILM India has embarked into the
Indian market with a series of 12 new digital cameras. Packed with
most innovative and nouveau features, the exciting range is
specifically designed for the Indian masses. The series include
AV200, AX300 (A series); JV200, JX300 (J series); FinePix X100, T200,
F500 EXR, HS20, S2950, S3300, S4000 and Z900 cameras.

All these models are equipped with
features like high definition capability, digital image
stabilization, Motion Panorama mode, face detection technology,
picture search, Facebook/Youtube easy Web upload, scene recognition
auto, blink detection etc. The cameras are available from the
starting price range of Rs 5,000, and goes upto Rs 65,000.

Takeshi Higuchi, senior VP, FUJIFILM
Holding and Fujifilm Corporation said, “We are optimistic about our
market growth and potential, despite the recent tsunami and
earthquake that hit Japan. One of our manufacturing factories was
also affected by this calamity, but has been successfully recovered
and is now fully functional.”

Commenting on the launch, he said,
“Emerging markets will be our main priority this year. And India is
the most important market for us because market potential here is
greater than any other country.” Talking about the company's market
growth, he further said, “We have set a 3-year plan, in which we
will continue to grow by 20% annually. We will focus on technical
innovation and products design, market investment and after-sales
support to maximize customer satisfaction.”

According to Kenichi Tanaka, MD,
FUJIFILM India, “Time and again we have been introducing products
with unique features. Earlier, we introduced a camera with supreme
capabilities of shooting photos and movies in 3D and now we have
unveiled the world's first hybrid viewfinder enabled cameras FinePix
X100.” He further added, “One thing that differentiates us from
others is our in-house technology, which includes EXR CMOS, FUJINON
Lens and EXR Processor.”

A Rajkumar, country general manager
(DSC), FUJIFILM India said, “FUJIFILM sees India as an important
market and is committed to bringing the latest of its offerings to
the market here. We are targeting the sales growth in India at around
12-13% for the next year, currently it's around 7%.” The company
will also increase the number of its service stations across the
country and will focus on the advertising and promotion for the
marketing and branding of the product.
