Frontier Business Systems has received an ISO 27001 certification for its

'Green Data Center', housed within its new green IT facility at Bengaluru. The

ISO 27001 certification, conferred by BSI India, the subsidiary of the British

Standards Institute, establishes that Frontier's services and security

management adheres to the highest standards in the world.

Ravi Verdes, Founder and Director, Frontier Business Systems said, “We are

delighted to have attained this prestigious certification, which endorses our

constant commitment to safeguard the trust and confidence that our costumers

place on us. With the ISO 27001 certification, the efficacy of our information

security practices stands vindicated and would further give confidence to our

customers that their data is safe and secure within the company.”

“We realized the necessity to create a structured management system for

securing information and assets. The management structure for security becomes a

must as more and more information and resources are shared between the company

and the customer in today's business models. We decided to implement the ISO

27001 standard soon after moving to our new green IT facility at Bengaluru in

February 2009. The implementation was done by Frontier's Internal Information

Security Consulting Team and completed in a record time of three months,” Verdes

added

Practices and would give confidence to their customers that their data is safe

and secure in Frontier. The company hopes to get more of remote infrastructure

management business and have already set-up their NOC in their corporate office.

Frontier aims to achieve 30 percent of their business through services. ““Since

we have our own green building with green data center and also implemented

information security management system, we can easily translate our experience

to serve our customers better than others. This would offer best design with

security and investment protection to our customers,” Verdes averred.

The $4 million facility showcases Frontier's green virtualization solutions

enabling enterprises to drastically reduce costs, while improving business

service availability, agility and performance.

The new Benguluru facility scores high in key environmental categories.

Frontier has applied for and hopes to shortly achieve a Gold Certification from

Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) for Commercial Interiors

(CI) from the US Green Building Council (USGBC) for this facility.
