This Delhi-based company opens its office in Kolkata
Delhi-based Fortune Marketing Pvt Ltd, the PC hardware and
components distribution house, announced its foray into the Eastern Indian IT
market with the opening of its branch office in Kolkata. “Through our websites
and agents we used to receive very good queries and also sales orders from this
region, especially Kolkata,” inforÂmed Ankur Gupta, Branch Head, Fortune
Marketing. “We realized the potentiality of this region, which is currently
booming in the field of information technology. Therefore, we decided that this
was the right time to start our operations here,” he informed.
Apart from being the direct importer and distributor for
Seagate hard drives, TwinÂmos, Maxtor, Raidstore and other products, the
company also has its own brand by the name of Enter, which includes an entire
range of USB products. “With such a wide offering we are expecting volume
business from this market,” said Gupta. In less than a month since the opening
of the city office Fortune has already recorded an enviable business transacÂtion.
“We have received the best response from here ever from a branch that we have
just opened, that too at such an initial stage. The figure is 100 percent more
and it's extremely exciting and encouraging,” added Gupta.
Incorporated in the year 1994, Fortune has its head office
in Delhi and branch offices in Chennai, Mumbai, Noida, Bangalore, Hyderabad,
Ahmedabad and Cochin. With operations all across the country, Fortune Marketing
is known for its dealing with niche and a vast range of products. In the first
fiscal (06—07) Fortune has set a target to achieve a turnover of Rs 8 crore
from its Kolkata branch.
