Fortinet to make life easy for partners?

Available at any authorized Fortinet partners or resellers, the program aims to make selling easy for partners

UTM solution provider Fortinet recently rolled out its channel program called FortiCare Plus, which is a remote installation and commissioning of a FortiGate Unified Threat Management appliance and ongoing security management and monitoring services by Fortinet's Security Operations Center (SOC).

Vishak Raman, regional director, India and Saarc, Fortinet said, "We have recently come up with a new program that facilitates our partners and make their selling easy. The professional services can be availed through any authorized Fortinet partners or resellers." He further added, "Benefit of being part of the program is that the partner could deliver Professional Services to their customers even in the event of not having specific products specialization and new technologies."

The service initiative is in line with Fortinet's international partner programs. "The service offerings are localized to ensure the delivery happens with the team and with sensitivity towards the expectations from the field," Raman said.

FortiCare Plus is available for purchase by a customer ('end user') through authorized Fortinet resellers and distributors. Unlike other Fortinet products, to receive the service, the end user must have an active FortiCare support contract for each of the Fortinet product(s) utilized in the service. This facility is available for all FortiGate small business UTM appliances.

Apart from this, the company's roadmap for the coming months would be to augment high growth in the network security appliance market with rich support services and secure customer's IT infrastructure. "Currently, we have 200 partners across the country and would like to increase this partner base to 500," Raman said.
