Former MDs of Compaq & Autodesk unite for Magnasoft Consulting

Abhishek Mukherjee, former MD, Compaq Computer India Pvt Ltd and S Sridhar, former MD, Autodesk India Pvt Ltd have announced their coming together as the new promoters and to lead the management team at Magnasoft Consulting. Magnasoft Consulting is a two-year-old consulting and software services company in the area of spatial information management.

Based out of Bangalore, Mukherjee will be the Chairman and CEO and Sridhar, would lead the company in capacity of the Vice-Chairman and MD. Funded by Global Technology Ventures, Magnasoft's core competency lies in developing domain specific GIS applications across platforms and devices for enterprise-wide integration.

Magnasoft will be developing applications on leading software platforms from Autodesk, ESRI, MapInfo and leaders in device technologies to deliver these applications.

"In today's competitive world, there is an increasing demand for exploiting spatial information for effective management across the enterprise in various industries. Magnasoft is dedicated to bridging the gap between conventional GIS information and its use for development of GIS applications for enterprise-wide migration", said
Mukherjee.

"Our key responsibility will be to establish Magnasoft as a leading provider of GIS/GPS solutions from India in the next three years.
