Indore. The event will enter its 15th year when it starts
next week. The DQ Week and
Radio One (94.3 FM) will be the official media partners of the event.
Toshiba will be the main sponsor of the event, while Intex and Apple
will serve as co-sponsors.
This year, the youth will its target
audience. “We have invited students from colleges and schools all
across Indore to take part in the exhibition. For the last two years,
we had been focusing on the corporate sector, but now we realize the
potential in the education sector. The idea is not only to generate
business out of the education vertical but also to educate the youth
about the benefits of IT. So, we have planned to hold technical
quizzes to attract and update students attending the expo and
encourage them to take part in SMS contests, which will reward
winners with mobile phones,” said Manish Goyal, President, MPTCTA.
The organizers of the event are
expecting a footfall of over two lakh in three days. People from all
across central India are likely to participate in the annual event.
People from neighboring towns like Ujjain, Dewas, Ratlam, Khandwa,
Mahu and Dhar are also expected to attend the event.
There will be a total of 90 stalls and
six pavilions, which will exhibit products of vendors like Lenovo,
Samsung, HCL, AOC, Zebronics, Asus, Intel, Acer, Zenith and
QuickHeal. “As the focus is on youths this year, laptops and
netbooks will be showcased a lot more as compared to last year. As
far as printers are concerned, multi-functional devices have picked
up a great deal, so there will be a lot of variety in that as well,”
pointed Goyal.
Talking about his stall in the
exhibition, Sudhir Arora, CEO of Indore-based Computer Gallery said,
“With every passing year, we try to showcase the latest
technologies to our visitors at Fonocom. Everyone wants something
extra with each product they buy. We want to give our customers a
hand-on experience of the products they buy so that they can choose
the best one possible.”
