Network Power won
the 2010 Market Leadership Award in the Indian UPS segment by Frost
&
Sullivan. The Award was presented to Emerson at the 'India Backup
Power Industry Excellence Awards' ceremony held at Hotel Leela
Kempinski, Gurgaon. The company won the award for demonstrating
outstanding achievement in improving market reach, technological
innovations, customer service, strategic product development, and
building strategies to sustain growth amidst fierce competition.
With its continuous thrust
for growth, Emerson has been devising smart growth strategies and
competently implementing them. Emerson has a vertical-focused
approach to its business, which helps it address the changing needs
of rapidly-evolving sectors such as IT/ITeS, telecom, retail,
government, and so on. The company believes in enabling
business-critical solutions to match the morphing needs of its
clientele and the ever-growing complexity of IT infrastructure with
an eye on energy efficiency, as well. In addition, it also provides
power audit solutions to organizations.
Receiving the award,
Sandeep Nair, president and MD, Emerson Network Power said, “This
award reflects the level of trust placed in Emerson by our customers
over many decades. It is also a testimony to the relentless efforts
put in by our people to set higher benchmarks in the industry. I am
happy to find that we have stood out amidst tough competition in the
face of a comprehensive criterion measuring every element of
marketing success.”
Presenting the award, YS
Shashidhar, VP-South Asia, and MD-Middle East and North Africa,
Frost & Sullivan said, “It was a pleasure to bestow the award
to Emerson. The company's sales strategies, prompt after-sales
service, and countrywide sales and service network have helped make
it a market leader and also maintain that position consistently.
Additionally, Emerson's vertical-focused approach has struck the
right cord with end users, who perceive Emerson as a total power
solutions company rather than a pure-play UPS supplier.”
The Indian UPS Market has
ample growth opportunities, but has become highly competitive due to
the presence of several Indian and multinational suppliers. The
Indian UPS market, which was affected by the global economic
downturn, is recovering slowly and is expected to witness moderate
growth over the next 2-3 years.
