Amid the usual hustle and bustle in the crowded galleries of
Nehru Place IT market, a fire broke out at the Sahyog Building last week. It
engulfed Skope, a computer peripherals outlet in its blaze.
The reason for the fire has yet not been discovered, but sources
claim it was a result of a short circuit. The fire took place in the afternoon
when there were several walk-in customers. However, no casualties were reported.

The fire completely charred the premise of Skope and all the
items were burnt down. It took three hours for firemen to bring the fire under
control and eight vehicles of fire extinguishers were deployed at the spot.
"The fire was so strong that it took a long time to control
it. The shop has been completely burnt and the company has suffered heavy
losses," informed one of the neighboring shopkeepers.
During the fire extinguishing process, shops in the first floor
of Sahyog Building were logged with water due to which the owners have reported
to face considerable loss and have decided to claim insurance for it.
The building was sealed for visitors for the rest of the day,
and only shopkeepers were allowed to return to their offices in the evening.
