Find your love on PCs with Tinder web app

Popular dating app Tinder can now be accessed on PCs as well. The app has launched its web-based version. Dubbed Tinder Online, the service is targeted at users who have slower internet connections. It's currently being tested in a few selected countries, with a global rollout expected soon.

The web version of Tinder works in a similar manner as the mobile app. Accordingly, users can drag their prospective match's card to the left or right.

An official blog post regarding the announcement reads, "With Tinder Online, you can swipe anywhere in the world you have an internet connection. And while the online experience is slightly more limited than the mobile app experience (for now), it's still the Tinder you know and love."

To get started, you can go to Tinder.com from any browser on your PC. If you're new to the service, you can log in through Facebook, choose your best photos, write a bio and start swiping. Once you see the signature "It's a Match" message, you can message your match.

Last year, Tinder rolled out an update to make the service more gender-inclusive. The app now allows Transgender users to mention their gender in Tinder profiles. The new feature is aimed at helping all users express their true selves on the app's dating platform.

Changing gender information in one's Tinder profile is easy. Users just have to go to the profile editing settings and then select the 'I Am' option. In addition to the regular Man and Woman options, a third option 'More' now also appears. Users can simply tap on this option and type the word that they think describes their gender identity the best. This includes Trans Man, Trans Woman or simply Transgender.
