Fifth ISODA Tech Summit receives overwhelming response

The fifth Tech summit organised by Infotech Software Dealers Association (ISODA) received overwhelming response from the participants. The three day technology event focused on the theme, ‘Transform and Evolve’ was marked by informative sessions, presentations and interactions with the industry veterans.

ISODA Tech summit 5 was held for its members at Colombo, Srilanka, at the Cinnamon Lakeside Hotel, from 5th to 7thFebruary, 2015. This year, the focus of the summit was to discuss the changing business models and challenges at the same time educating members on new opportunities and evolve as a stronger firm. Around 85 delegates and 25 sponsors had participated in the summit.

Jiten Mehta, secretary of ISODA said, “We received fabulous response from participant in this edition. Informative sessions on the topics like technology transformations and presentations by eminent industry leaders were the key highlight points of the event.”

He said that the ISODA Tech summit 5 was well planned and well attended. Mehta also pointed out that ISODA was the only IT association in the country to organise offsite technology event for its members.

ISODA conferred Business Excellence Award to Bangalore based Value Point Technosol followed by runner up Capricot. This award is given the member whose company excels in software solution and sales.

“We have internal selection process based on the set criteria. A committee comprising of old ISODA members take care of screening and selection process. The award is given on the basis of implementation of innovative ideas, automation, profitability and overall performance of the company”, Mehta said.

ISODA had invited all members from different regions to come and share their views regarding ISODA and enhance the association. The association had invited eminent non-IT industry speakers, to addressing the members business apprehensions and provide possibilities to scale their business in the currents scenario. Speakers like Prashant Bawa Raju and Chand Narayan share their thoughts and views. Besides veteran speakers, ISODA sponsors and key note speakers also shared their views on dealing with such changes. There was panel discussion on the topic digital transformation in India and its impact and opportunities for India IT Community.

Companies like Hitachi, Redhat, Mindarray, Cyberoam, McAfee, HP Software, Fractalio, Gemalto, Symantecetc were the attendees as well as sponsors this year. The entire event was covered by media channels like ITVar news, Channel Times, DQ Channels, IDG, Techplus Media.

ISODA has said that the association would also be unveiling road map for ISODA Version 2. In the next phase of ISODA will be focused more on collaborating and connecting with other line of business, which will provide more value to its existing members.
