FESTIVE DISCOUNTS BOOST CASHKARO SALES BY OVER 1000%

Amazon’s Great Indian Festival and Flipkart’s Big Billion Days went live this week along with sales from Tata Cliq, ShopClues, Paytm Mall, Jabong, Myntra and more. CashKaro.com  gained key insights during this period and saw sales rise by 1000% versus regular days.

CashKaro Sales Up 1.5X Versus Last Year: One of the busiest sales periods for Indian e-commerce, this festive season raked in huge numbers across retailers. While on average, CashKaro sales were up 10-15x during Sale period, on the initial days of the Sale this number was as high as 20x. This year Sales saw more ‘Hero deals’ where best selling products were available at bigger discounts and their stocks lasted longer, which boosted this year’s numbers by 1.5X compared to last year.

Mobiles and Electronics saw an increase of over 2000% while a 950% surge in sales of TVs and Large Appliance Sales was recorded within this five day period. Fashion as a category grew 800% while Home and Kitchen saw a 500% Increase. It was also interesting to observe that Tier 2 and Tier 4 Cities saw a 200% increase in Traffic. Also noticeable was a 75% rise in traffic from Metros led by Navi Mumbai, Bengaluru & New Delhi.

“The festive sales have been great for business; on certain days of the Sale our transactions grew by as much as 20x compared to regular days. Compared to last year, the largest surge was seen in the TVs & Large Appliances category though the highest volume of transactions came from Mobiles and Fashion.” Rohan Bhargava, Co-Founder, CashKaro.com said.

The spectacular rise in sales numbers can also be attributed to retailer pushes such as Low Cost EMI, Card Based Cashback Offers, Wallet Discounts & Exchange Offers.
