F-Secure anti-virus has launched Corporate Suite 8.0 in the variant of
five-user and10-user box. This is their first box offering for the corporate and
SMB segment. The Corporate Suite combines all the critical components for
protecting corporate networks against various malware threats, including
viruses, worms and other malicious code as well as hackers and unauthorized
intrusion attempts. The five-user variant can support a server and four nodes
and the 10-user variant can support two servers and eight nodes.
Firoz Abbas, National Product Manager-F-Secure Solutions, SV Electronics said
that the best part of the Corporate Suite 8.0 is the support rendered to Linux
and Citrix servers apart from Windows and MS Exchange. He claimed that F-Secure
has been the first company to support Linux servers, which is considered to be
the most secured server architecture. The product also comes with client
security feature.
“We have the most comprehensive solution than all our competitors by having
all the features in one single box, which the others have as separate offerings.
The other important aspect of this solution is its competitive pricing, which is
almost 80-90 percent less than our competitors,” Abbas informed.
He also pointed out that the channels would be able to make very good margin
of more than 25 percent out of the Corporate Suite 8.0.
The company has introduced a toll free support to the users, which it didn't
have in the past. The 1800-102-598 facility, based out of Malaysia will provide
support in regional languages such as Hindi, Tamil and Teleugu.
Abbas informed that the F-Secure POC center situated in Hyderabad will
provide complete support to the corporate clients including remote access
functionalities. SV Electronics currently has more than 70 registered partners
for selling anti-virus products and has started providing focused training
through F-Secure people in Hyderabad. “Every quarter, we would be handpicking
nearly five to seven partners and provide them a three-day comprehensive
training program, including technical programs so that the partners by
themselves would be able to provide the first level support to their customers.
SV Electronics would be providing the second-level support and F-Secure would be
providing the third-level support,” Abbas informed.
SV Electronics currently has nearly 70 registered partners and has no plans
to increase their base. The distributor plans to focus more on the existing
partners individually by helping them in their sales and increasing the margins.
