In an exclusive interaction with The DQ Week, Eset shared the company's India roadmap and the announcement of its upcoming solution ESET Secured Authentication.
Parvinder Walia, director, marketing, APAC, ESET said, "The key agenda for me here is to know more about market, analyze the market situation, get feedback and more. Going ahead, we will do evaluation of the all the critical aspects which will help us plan for the coming here. In addition, we have agenda related to internal operations."
ESET is gearing up to introduce its new products which are in the pipeline including ESET Endpoint Security, Business Security Packs and Antivirus. Walia said, "We have had a strong presence in the SMB segment in India. Now, we are evaluating the verticals and we intend to strengthen our presence in the enterprise segment." He further added, "We have robust dynamic security solutions to offer now and we will like to improve our market share in this market."
The new solution incorporates newer functionalities requested by partners and customers. The new features include roll back of signatures, web control, efficient reporting, upgraded antispam engine.
The company is working out strategies to introduce ESET Secured Authentication. Walia said, "We are in process of preparing a roadmap for the latest product called secured authentication. This one is specially designed for companies and provides an additional layer of security. OTP generation is becoming a norm and without having a specific device for the same reduces cost for companies. Also, one does not have to bother of caring a specific device along. We are hoping this will provide the right impetus for the security solution and they can utilize the benefit of this solution and offer it as a part of a bigger package." He further added, "This solution is already launched in North America and currently beta testing is in process in Asia."
ESET Smart Security and Mobile Security is another solution which the company is planning to push aggressively in this market. Walia said, "With mobility and concept of BYOD emerging in the country. We want to improve our market share in these segments too. However, we are ironing out the roadmap as of now as even amongst users there is no clear idea on how to handle these trends. We are conducting surveys and interactions to get an in depth idea about these trends and gauge the market requirements. We have the solutions but we want to prepare ourselves as well as our channel partners to cater to the requirements coming from the market."
ESET has seen an overall growth of about 25-30% in the last one year. SMB segment is the largest contributor followed by consumers in this market.
