eScan partners with Webcom Information Technology

The eScan, Webcom Information Technology alliance will allow both the brands to drive new growth opportunities and aims to facilitate secured IT infrastructure with reduced costs

eScan has appointed Webcom Information Technologies as is distributor for Karnataka for corporate and enterprise segment of above 100 users category. The alliance will allow both the brands to drive new growth opportunities and aims to facilitate secured IT infrastructure with reduced costs and complexity as well as improved productivity to corporates across the state.

Sharing his views on this partnership, Sunil Kripalani, senior VP, global sales and marketing, eScan said, "We are glad to be associated with Webcom Information Technologies, who has a very strong foothold in Defense, PSU, and Government establishments. We strongly believe that this alliance will ensure secured networks to the corporates in Karnataka, with eScan protecting them against evolving cyber threats as well as enhance our market share in the region."

Ravi Shankar Subramanyam, head, enterprise sales, eScan said, "Webcom has been in the market since 23 years and has an excellent partner network of around 40 SIs in Karnataka region. Their clientele consists of brands such as Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, LRDE, ADE, CABS, CAIR, Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, Bharat Electronics Limited, ISRO, ISTRAC, to name a few. By combining our unique strengths, both the brands have come together to deliver a unified higher-quality user experience, with greater reliability to the customers. The immediate target under this alliance for eScan is to have minimum of 4-5 sub-dealers and about 20 resellers across Karnataka by mid-September."

Talking about this partnership, Anantharam V Varayur, MD, Webcom Information Technologies Pvt. Ltd. says, "This strategic alliance illustrates our commitment to building relationships with new partners in the region that will take advantage of eScan excellent range of security solutions. With this partnership, we are optimistic to replace most of the MNC AV products in Defense and Government with home grown product that is eScan. We plan to have entire sales to happen only through SI. Moreover, Webcom will also have a separate channel sales and will be appointing a Director who will concentrate only on eScan. As Webcom is popularly known as SI, eScan product will help them enter the channel sales."
