Ericsson launches 3 new phones

Ericsson has announced the launch of three new generation phones in India, T39, T29 and A3618. The T39 is one of the most powerful mobile phones in the world with GPRS capability to facilitate rapid Internet access and Bluetooth wireless technology that enables it to communicate with other devices without cables. The T29 is a stylish, easy-to-use WAP phone whereas the A3618 is a small sized entry-level phone with lot of 'fun' features.

"There is an interesting trend that is emerging with consumers who have been exposed to mobile telephony seeking high-end and feature rich mobile phones with capabilities to deliver data and information. The T39 and T29 will cater to this segment of market," said Ranjivit Singh, Director Corporate Communications, Ericsson Telecommunication Private Limited. "A vast majority of new users are looking for an entry level phone which is easy to use and has lot of 'fun' features. The A3618 has been specifically developed for this segment by Ericsson.

Weighing only 86 grams, the A3618 has been developed by Ericsson in co-operation with Arima of Taiwan specifically for the Asian market. A3618 has a large full graphic display, different colors for the display and screensavers. It has an intelligent SMS text-messaging tool to make it fast and easy for users to write messages and a built in calendar. The phone has a talk time of up to four hours and a standby time of up to 180 hours.
