Epson unveils C41X

Epson India has unveiled its latest offering for the market in the inkjet space, the C41SX at a channel event. The company is looking at redefining the inkjet printer market especially in the home and the small office segments with this product. 

A feature-rich product, it has been priced very competitively, at Rs 4,400, to make the value proposition lucrative. In terms of speed, the printer offers 12 ppm in monochrome outperforming a similar offering by the competition by a factor of two. 

The printer offers a resolution of 1440 dpi, again a first in the entry-level inkjet space. The droplet size has been reduced to six picoliter to ensure sharper image details. 

The printer also features quick dry inks that dry in 0.01 seconds for smudge-free prints. The consumables too have been priced quite competitively at Rs 770 and Rs 470 for a color and monochrome cartridge respectively. 

Company officials were rather excited about the potential that product had. Said Vinay Ram, Deputy General Manager, Consumer Products Group, Epson India, "It is a super printer in the literal sense." 

The company is looking at 80 percent of its printer volumes coming from C41SX in the next two months. The company has planned a number of roadshows to promote the product and reach out to the end-customer.
