Enterasys unleashes the Dragon through partners

Enterasys Networks today announced a major thrust to capture the network security market with its Dragon portfolio of network security products. Speaking in a press conference to open the Asia Pacific channels meet being held in Perth, Australia, Mads Lillelund, Executive VP (Worldwide Sales), Enterasys, said the company has made major business tie-ups with specialized partners throughout the Asia Pacific to target the rapidly growing network security market, which is expected to grow at a CAGR of 25 percent worldwide through 2002-2006 according to IDC Research. The network security market worldwide was worth $ 380 million during 2002.

Atley Ng, President (Asia Pacific), Enterasys, also revealed that a few network security-related projects are already on in India. Enterasys Networks India is currently undergoing a process of identifying partners who can effectively market and implement its network security solutions. It already has on board specialized partners like Secure-1, WeP Peripherals and Paladion Networks, and major network integrators like L&T Infotech, HCL Infosystems and Tata Elxsi actively marketing and implementing its network security products.

WeP had acquired, a few months back, Select Technologies, which has been the leading integrator for Nokia security products and has rich experience in the network security space.

Enterasys Networks India is the leading vendor of enterprise-class network switches, which is one of the fastest growing networking segments in India.
