Emerson Network Power introduced Energy Logic, a step-by-step roadmap that
provides data center and IT managers with a prioritized approach to reduce
energy consumption by up to
50 percent. Energy Logic was launched at a three-city Symposium Series: Enabling
Energy Efficient IT Infrastructure that kicked off in Mumbai. The series was
also held at in New Delhi and Bangalore.
Energy Logic helps IT and facility managers make decisions about optimizing
energy use and minimizing critical resource constraints-power, cooling and
space, without compromising availability or flexibility. According to the
company, following the Energy Logic sequence can potentially save more than half
of a data center's load.
Saurabh Kumar, Secretary, Bureau of Energy Efficiency said, "Increasing
concern about climate change has encouraged people to adopt green approach in
all walks of life. 'Going green' is
not only environment friendly but also cost efficient. For example in data
centers, reducing power consumption is the most effective way to cut cost and go
green. And energy reduction can be achieved with proper planning and
implementa-tion of efficient technologies that exist today."
