EMC appoints Amit Mehta as Director of Marketing in India and SAARC

Corporation has
announced the appointment
of Amit Mehta as Director-Marketing, EMC, India and SAARC. In this
role, Mehta will be responsible for spearheading the marketing
strategy for EMC in India and the region. He will be driving the
strategy and execution of all marketing efforts to support EMC's
sales verticals, products and partnerships in India. Mehta will
report to Manoj Chugh, President, EMC India and SAARC. The company also
recently appointed href="http://www.ciol.com/News/Interviews/We-are-buoyant-about-Iomega-says-EMC/12210131444/0/">Subroto
Das as COO of EMC India and SAARC region.

Commenting on the
appointment, Chugh said, “We continue to strengthen our leadership
team in India, to capitalize on EMC's leadership and momentum in
the industry. We are pleased to have Amit on board to lead our
marketing strategy. His strong blend of technology and marketing
skills will be a tremendous asset to driving EMC's presence in the
region.”

Mehta joins EMC from
Microsoft, where he was Director, Unified Communications for India
and was responsible for both revenue and non-revenue based targets
around market penetration and expansion as well as partner and field
readiness. Prior to Microsoft, Mehta headed the marketing division at
Avaya, where he led the product business for the company.
