Close on the heels of inaugurating its LG Shoppe at Nehru Place, Elcom

Trading is planning to increase its focus on retail and open two more

retail-focused outlets in Noida and Ghaziabad. "Increasingly we have seen

that customers want to touch and feel the products that they are going to buy.

This LG retail outlet is designed to do that and we would be opening two more

such outlets by August 2005," informed, Sunil Narang, Director, Elcom

Trading.

The company's increased focus on retail comes from the fact that more and

more box pushers are going the retail way when it comes to increasing

profitability and providing customers a healthy buying experience.

"Here at this LG Shoppe, we sell all LG products from desktop PCs to

optical devices and DVD combos to other high end products. We sell these

products at the wholesale price, so when a customer buys products from our

retail shop, they get good value for money," he added.

While this year Elcom Trading generated 15 percent of its turnover from the

retail segment, it plans to take this figure to 25 percent for the coming year.

"As we plan to increase our focus on retail, the percentage of business

coming from retail would also increase, consequently," he explained.
