Ahmedabad headquartered embedded system solution provider eInfochips is
planning to invest $ 1.5 million and hire some 50 engineers for its new design
center in Pune by the end of October this year.
According to Tapan Joshi , VP (marketing) eInfochips, the company has
selected Pune for its large pool of en-gineering talent, institutions and pool
to select from.
Joshi added that the com-pany expansion of a one-stop solution for embedded
pro-duct could only be served if sufficient foundries are developed to
manufacture chips. The Pune center will focus on ASIC and embedded solutions in
the areas of storage area networking (SAN), wireless communica-tions and
consumer multi-media applications and will primarily cater to the clients in
Asia and North America. The company recently expan-ded its sales and marketing
office in almost all part of the globe.
eInfochips is one of the few companies in India, which provides ASIC design
services, embedded systems solutions and IP cores to global blue-chip technology
companies. It already has a state of the art 2,000 sq ft secure design lab with
some 200 engineers in Ahmedabad. Currently, the company provides solutions to
technology companies like Samsung, Texas Instruments, ATI, Rambus and Navionics.
