Eastern Software Systems (ESS)--a e-business solution
provider has bagged the prestigious contract of Blue Star Ltd--India's largest
central air-conditioning company. Based on an ASP model, ESS will implement its
flagship product ebizframe to automate Blue Star's National Spare Parts Center
connecting it to eight branch offices spread across the country.
ESS will manage the hosting of the application server
at the ISP's site, the hardware required and also monitor and facilitate the
flow of data between the branches. This would help Blue Star in streamlining the
spare parts distribution system, multi-locational dealer management, efficient
inventory management and timely production planning. Thus enabling the company
to respond to customer demands much faster.
ebizframe is an e-commerce-enabling tool, which
allows companies to run their business-on-the-Net in a cost effective manner. It
can be utilized by organizations seeking to run their business processes on the
Net, B2B portals as their transactions processing engine and organizations using
legacy ERP systems to address their e-commerce needs.
Speaking on bagging this prestigious order Sanjay
Agarwala, Director, ESS, said, "The implementation of ebizframe based on an
ASP model would result in greater cost control and minimal expenditure in the
hardware required for Blue Star. Using ebizframe to efficiently manage its spare
parts distribution system across multi locations, Blue Star will be able to keep
a strict control on its inventory, save costs and plan its production well
within time."
Implementation advantages of ebizframe to Blue Star
-
Blue Star's National Spare parts Center is located in
Mumbai, which is connected to its various distribution centers in India.
ebizframe will automate the National Spare Parts Center to facilitate its
various branch offices and its head office to access data regarding spare
parts requirement in various depots of the country. This is made possible by
hosting the ebizframe application server at the ISP site. With this,
ebizframe would streamline Blue Star's Spare parts distribution network,
offering a systematic multi-locational dealer management system. -
To start with, Blue Star's Central Office as well as
its 8 locations will be accessing the ISP wherein data will be transferred
from the ebizframe database server hosted at the ISP site. This would offer
Blue Star's National Spare Parts Center a 24-hours Internet presence, which
would mean higher speed and better performance. Gradually, the number of
locations or local warehouses accessing the ISP will go up to 14. ebizframe
will be utilized presently for internal use of Blue Star, which will later
on, be extended to their suppliers and customers. -
ebizframe would help in preparing e-purchase orders
for those materials that are not available in the local markets and the
material will be shipped from the Central Warehouse to the requirement area.
This will help the organization to attend customer's requirement in a much
faster and an efficient way. ebizframe would update the inventory level and
thereby facilitate timely procurement of materials as per requirement.
Normally, to meet the demand, Blue Star procures a particular spare part
locally as per the requirement. -
ebizframe application server at the ISP site would
let Blue Star enjoy the economies of co-location without compromising on
security and speed.
ESS has successfully implemented ebizframe across
industry verticals like food processing, jewelry, chemicals, automobiles and
manufacturing. Mother Dairy, Sparesindia.com, Oyzterbay, Nippo Batteries, Avon
Cycles, Weekenders are some of the companies which are running on ebizframe.
