Delhi based All Delhi Computer Traders Association (ADCTA) was recently approached by DCG (Dubai Computer Group) a part of Dubai Chamber (A Government of Dubai Initiative) in connection with searching the alleged Sachin Darshanlal Sharma, owner of Dubai based Computer Company/Karya Technology. Sharma, an Indian passport holder (passport no Z1870676) who has been absconding from Dubai since June 4, 2011 is reportedly working in India.
The association has received a request letter from DCG with regards to the above subject stating that Sharma was working in the said company from 2006 in Dubai. Due to unknown reasons Sharma absconded from Dubai on June 4,2011 with a total outstanding amount of about AED 18 mn (approx Rs 27 crore) by cheating DCG member companies. All the companies have made individual police complaints against Sharma.
Originally Sharma is a native of India and belongs to Delhi. The DCG suspected that he may have started his operations in Delhi or is hiding in some nearby city. DCG wants that with the support of ADCTA , they expose Sharma and his criminal activity in Dubai and warn IT industry not to deal with him or his company and if sighted, please immediately inform ADCTA /DCG to ADCTA.NehruPlace@gmail.com/admin@dcgdubai.com.
According to Shyam Modi, chairman, ADCTA, "Our association has been approached by DCG and seeking help to nab Sharma (resident of India). We have discussed this very much serious issue in our executive meeting and authorized our president Mahinder Aggarwal and joint secretary Swarn Singh to take necessary steps."
On this Aggarwal commented, "As an association of Asia's biggest IT market, it is our responsibility to help our IT industry. We are going to spread information about Sharma. We have already circulated same information to our partners and as well as to other fellow associations. We are hopeful to nab Sharma at the earliest."
"The association has also started communicating to the local media and supporting DCG to locate Sharma," concluded Singh.
