DSGMC launches integrated GMS

Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management
Committee (DSGMC) has opened India’s first online integrated Gurudwara
Management system. This system will maintain all the properties and assets that
fall under DSGMC. Sardar Sukhbir Singh Badal, Rajya Sabha member recently
inaugurated it. Speaking on the occasion, Sardar Badal said, “This system will
bring transparency into the system and proper check on expenses of DSGMC will be
maintained.”

This project under propitious of
DSGMC would result in computerization and networking of four major Gurdwaras and
educational institutions run by the organization in Delhi. The educational
institutes include four University colleges, 12 public schools, five senior
secondary schools and four engineering colleges. The Gurdwaras that have been
automated include Bangla Sahib, Rakab Ganj, Sis Ganj and Nanak Piao.

Two high- capacity central
servers have been installed at the Rakab Ganj Gurdwara. These are linked on a
Wide Area Network (WAN) to local servers in the other three Gurdwaras and to the
17 servers installed at different educational institutions.

DSGMC has taken the services of
Multiple Zones India Pvt Ltd and Webuzz Software Pvt Ltd to implement this
system. Webuzz Software provided the customized integrated Gurudwara Management
system software, training and consultancy, while IBM supplied the hardware and
Microsoft, the software for the project.
