In a significant
development, Shriram Krishnamachari has resigned from href="https://www.dqweek.com/adobe-appoints-umang-bedi-as-md">Adobe
Systems
India. He was the head-channels and distribution, Adobe Systems
India. Today, May 31, is his last working day at the company.

While Krishnamachari
himself refused to comment on this development, an official note
released by the company said that Krishnamachari has decided to
pursue opportunities outside the organization. For the last 10 years,
he had played a key role in growing Adobe's channel business in the
country. The company wished him the very best for his future
endeavors.

Sharing his thoughts on
this news, M Prabhakar Kini, managing director of Kinfotech (a
premium partner of Adobe in India), said, “We have received this
news that Shriram Krishnamachari has resigned from Adobe Systems. As
per my knowledge, Krishnamachari is not taking up any new assignment
for the time being.”

“Our company shared a
very good relationship with Krishnamachari for the last 10 years. He
was a very efficient channel manager. He really looked after the
interests of the reseller community. He helped us a lot in growing
our business. Post his resignation, I don't think any crucial changes
would take place from either ends. We will continue sharing a strong
relationship with Adobe Systems, wherein the company's regional
channel managers are taking good care of us, especially in the South
region,” added Kini.

An Adobe partner from
Delhi, on condition of anonymity said, “The company has sent a mail
to all its partners informing them about this resignation from Adobe
and May 31, 2011 being his last working day in the office. However,
there are rumors surfacing in the market that this sudden move by
Krishnamachari is somehow linked to the appointment of Umang Bedi as
the company's MD-sales and marketing, South Asia earlier this
month.”

Prior to joining Adobe,
Krishnamachari was the country manger at Macromedia for 5 years,
which was then acquired by Adobe in 2005 and he became the channel
sales manager, India and Saarc.
