In an attempt to promote
and advocate Managed Print Services, MPS partners along with IT
associations from across India are getting together on February 15,
2012 at Hotel Suba International in Mumbai to form first-of-its-kind
All India MPS forum or association. The initiative has been
taken up by the group of MPS partners such as Indrayani Sales,
Cartridge Junction, ACM Cartridge Rechargers and many more.
Speaking to The DQ
Week, K Madhusudan, technical director, Indrayani Sales said, “In
India, the major busin

happening with OEMs and they are already controlling around 24%
of the total market, may be even more. MPS is going to be 'T

of Tomorrow.' Unless we prepare for the mega opportunity by
uniting to get the desired technical and other professional
knowledge, then only we will become followers/onlookers of the OEM.
We have to be contented with the business in which OEMs will not be
interested in, and it is going to be like the refilling or
remanufacturing business.”

He also added, “This
meet will be seeing participations from 40 MPS and IT associations
from across India including PCAIT Delhi, CMDA Delhi, CMDA Pune, SITA,
TAIT, CIITA an

core objective of this meet is to propagate MPS technology
opportunities for partners and educate them how the MPS concept is
growing globally. So, it is strongly requir

to
form an association. If we unite and put pressure by
aligning with other major industry associations like FICCI, CII,
ASSOCHAM, nothing is impossible. Unity and will-power, with egoless
dedication to grow along with other co- promoters is the action for
the moment."
At the meet, the
gathering
will be finalizing objectives, functions and roadmaps of this forum.
Also, name of the association, role of office bearers, members and IT
association will be decided unanimously.
According to Pradeep
Mahindru, owner of ACM Cartridge Rechargers, “The MPS market has
been positively taken by the remanufactures' supplies and cartridges.
And it holds good potential for cartridge remanufacturers. However,
partners lack enough awareness on this. This forum will provide
MPS-related products and services to the end-user community in an
informational environment. It will also offer case studies, feedback
and ideas to the MPS providers.”

before its official launch. The launching of the association will be
taking place during the ReIndia Expo on March 22, 2012 in Mumbai,”
said Madusudan.
