DIL launches unique e-mail to fax facility

Data Infosys Limited; Rajasthan's leading ISP has launched a unique e-mail to fax facility. "The service, X-Gen is a service for e-mail relationship management, a unique e-mail service", Ajay Data, CEO, DIL said in a press conference. 

Ajay Data claimed that X-Gen is perhaps the first of its kind software that keeps a history of interactions, retrieves e-mail from multiple servers and sends e-mails to fax. Through its option of e-mail to fax it offers a new range of ease of sending a fax by a soft copy and leaving no paper trail to follow. Describing the product, Data said that it requires no use of fax at the sender's end and it drastically cuts faxing costs. The cost of fax through this facility is roughly 40 to 50 percent cheaper, he said. Besides fax facility, X-Gen also retrieves mails from various other e-mail services. By a feature of showing the last IP number of the login it warns if a snooper had got into your mail signifying that you change your password, he added. 

He said that the product also has a facility of virus scanning of all incoming and outgoing messages.

Making a modest start in April 1999 , the state's first private ISP, DIL has rapidly expanded its subscriber base and its service quality with matching pace, he said. The company that is now category 'A' ISP, besides Rajasthan is presently providing its services in Agra, Allahabad, Haldwani, Indore, Kanpur, Meerut, Muradabad, Roorkee and Varanasi. In addition to this, the CEO said other 30 stations are being envisaged for setting up new Internet services. The company presently has a subscriber base of over 75,000. The company is offering high-speed connections with multi channels through Digital Subscriber Line (DSL), ISDN, wireless link and leased circuits. It has Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP), Wireless Application Protocol (WAP), Unified Messaging Services (UMS), call centers and transcriptions well chartered for in its growth program, Data concluded.
