Digitronics open's showroom

Digitronics Infosys Ltd, a services and solutions company, recently inaugurated its first showroom in Delhi. "The concept of retailing is catching up very fast. Therefore, we decided to open a retail outlet," said a very enthusiastic Dinesh Gupta, MD, Digitronics Infosys Ltd.

With its office situated in Wazirpur Industrial area, which is also called the Nehru Place of North Delhi, is also fast coming up as an IT market. "Wazirpur is fast coming up as an IT products market. We already had our office for PCs in the basement and a need for representation was felt, so we decided to open the showroom in Wazirpur itself," added Gupta.

"On a trial basis we decided to let the retail outlet remain open on the Sunday also, though it is an off day and the response that we received was amazing," said an excited Gupta, adding further, "On the same day itself, three PCs were booked. Customers came that day just with the thought that as it is an IT market, it will be open. Therefore we are planning to keep the shop open on Sundays too."

Earlier Digitronics was into services and later ventured out into solutions. In 1993, it introduced an accounting software under the trademark Busy.

"We will be displaying all the brands that we promote - HCL, PCS, Compaq and Toshiba. A complete range of PCs of these companies would be displayed along with high-end consumables. But, we will not keep stock of computer stationers," informed Gupta. 

He also said that they would also have demos of all the PCs, so that the customers can have hand on experience.

"But we will not be keeping assembled PCs," informed Gupta. Apart from the PCs and high-end consumables, they would also keep it's accounting software Busy and HCL Beanstalk.

Under one roof it will house a complete range of branded desktop (Compaq, HCL, PCS), notebooks (Toshiba, Compaq)), printer (inkjet, laser, DMP), scanner, speakers, Web cameras, digital cameras and other computer related items along with Samsung's monitor, laser printer, FDD, HDD, CD-ROM Drive, DVD ROM and many other brands like TVSE, Seagate, U max, Vintron and Wipro. Apart from this, the customer will also get the complete LAN, WAN solution and other technical support from them.
