Digitization Expo 2010 Showcases Scanning Solutions

Delhi-based Vikmans Multimedia
organized Digitization Expo 2010 with a focus to bring in major
overseas companies in India. More than 500 delegates and individuals
from the government sector and commercial publishing industry
attended the event. Those participated included companies from the
US, UK, Japan, Germany, Taiwan and India. Avision, Canon, Softage,
Microtek InoTec and CCS were the major exhibitor vendors. Speaking to
The DQ Week, Manish Chhabra, MD-Vikmans Multitmedia, said
that the sole purpose of the mega event was to attract the principal
foreign companies to explore business opportunities in India.

"This digitization conference cum
exhibition featured more than 150 high-end scanners with highly
technical specifications. Our thrust was to invite librarians as well
as individuals from government sector, BPO services and judiciary so
that they could choose their printing solution and media services,"
Chhabra added. The exhibition displayed the software-driven printers
that can create clips for commercial printing and publishing industry.
The products on display include complete range of Avision
document scanners, Bookeye 3 A2 scanner, Solar Copy Master 15MP/21MP
with PC and ADF X-Ray.

"We are planning for more similar
event by the end of this year," said Chhabra. The major speakers
include Allyson Y Johnson, OEM Account Manager-EMC Corporation,
Michael Kosewahr, Area Manager-Far East, InoTecGmbH, Matthew
Stillwell, Solar Imaging UK and Manu Bhatia, Manager Product
Marketing, Business Imaging Solutions at Canon India.
