Descon, to setup call center

Descon Ltd, the consulting arm of Dishergarh Power Supply Co Ltd, and

Taiwan-based TeleSynergy Research Inc. have tied up for setting up a 500-seat

call centre in Kolkata by Dec 2004. Descon will employ 220 people to run its 100

seat call centre twice a day in the first phase and will increase its seats up

to 500 and the number of professionals will be increased to 1,700 by Dec 05.

Descon is also planning to set up training facilities for call center operations

eyeing ever increasing demand for trained personnel in the city.
