Dealers Association of Information Technology (DEALIT), the association from Mysore has successfully conducted the IT expo on three consecutive days from September 7 of this month.

Approximately fifteen thousand people participated in the event which had key brands like TE, Epson, Intel, AMD, Sony, Sharp, Busy, Richo, Frontech, Asus performed well in the expo. There were 30 stalls in the expo and however, there were no sales done by any vendor as the organizers have restricted only for demo and technology awareness. However, registrations and bookings happened almost in all the stalls and the bookings will be done from the office of the channel partner. Speaking to ‘The DQ Week', Venkatesh Kharidi, President of the association, said, "Participants have shown their happiness in their feedback form and are very happy with the event and insisted us to make it in a bigger scale in future", further adding that " This is our 6th expo, our last expo was in the year 2002 where the then president of India Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam inaugurated our event and the event was presided by Mr. S.M. Krishna, the then Chief Minister of Karnataka".

Speaking on the changes every year on conducting expos, he said, "I am seeing the technology has grown beyond anyone's expectation. In earlier times, we were seeing very limited companies and competitors, lesser knowledge about the product, lesser number of buyers due to the price factor and many more. However, now, it is very easy for them due to price competition, reach the required information through the internet, media and once they decide, they look into the best way of buying through either their contacts or through online."
