Dax Networks has launched DX-2116X-NAS-R, a Network-Attached Storage (NAS) device. DX-2116X-NAS-R comes with an advanced RAID (Redundant Array of Independent Disks) configuration for data protection and performance, and is an ideal solution for SMBs.

DX-2116X-NAS-R has a built-in iSCSI target service, an HDD of 16 hot-swappable and lockable drives where each has a capacity of upto 3TB and 4 Gigabit LAN and 6 USB ports. The swappable drive allows an administrator to replace or upgrade the drive without turning off the device or slowing down the business. Comes with a complete back-up solution, which is compatible with cloud-based storage such as Amazon S3 and Apple Time Machine. The device is also equipped with RTRR (Real-time Remote Replication) feature, which does back-up of new and modified files immediately to another folder or a remote NAS.

DX-2116X-NAS-R has an integrated one-touch button that can be configured to create instant data back-up from the external USB device to the NAS and vice versa this device can be configured for a real-time or scheduled back-up. It is equipped with sending instant threat alert via e-mail, SMS, Instant Messaging (IM) and buzzer, to the administrator.

Priced at Rs 10,50,430 and comes with a 3-year carry-in warranty and online support for customers. Dax plans to market this product through its network of Authorized Dax Solution Providers (ADSPs) and system integrators.
