Davox opens Indian subsidiary

Davox Corporation has established its subsidiary in India in order to better
serve the rapidly expanding call center customer base in India. Davox already
had its presence in India through its partners Futuresoft and Network Solutions
and had a sizable customer base among call centers in the likes of GTL, iSeva,
GE, IT&T Spectramind and Zenta.

The economic slowdown proved to be a blessing for the Indian call center,
which is increasingly becoming popular as an outsourced destination. According
to Frost and Sullivan, the international consulting and marketing company, India
is the fastest growing market for contact center systems in the Asia- Pacific
region with a projected compound annual growth rate of 24 percent from 2000 to
2007. Frost and Sullivan has also reported that Davox has a dominant 74 percent
market share for outbound call center systems in India.

Davox will provide consultancy and technical support to its customers and
partners. Speaking on the occasion Pramod Ratwani, Vice- President, Davox, Asia-
Pacific said, "We have already established a leading position in the Indian
market, and a number of contact centers are successfully using Davox solutions.
Based in New Delhi the subsidiary will enable Davox to take further advantage of
the significant new business opportunities in India's burgeoning contact center
market," he added.

Davox will also set-up a regional support center in India, which would
provide technical and training assistance to its customers. The company already
has center of Excellence in Singapore and this new regional support center would
be the extension of center of Excellence. The company is also planning to open
its new offices in Mumbai and Bangalore soon. Rajeev Soni has been appointed the
regional manager of the Indian subsidiary.

The company has generated a revenue of $94 million in the last fiscal year of
which Asia-Pacific region contributes around 20 percent of it. The company is
expecting this region to contribute around 25 percent in this fiscal year. India
contributes around 10 percent of the Asia- Pacific region and the company is
expecting that it will be over 20 percent in this fiscal year. The company is
investing 18 percent of its total revenue in R&D activities.

Headquartered at Singapore the Davox Corporation has 450 employees and around
1000 customers worldwide which include banks, telecommunications firms,
utilities and retailers.
