Datacraft forays into application network solution space

Mumbai based Datacraft has announced its plans to expand into the application network solutions space. In the first phase of the foray, it would introduce a set of IP telephony solutions and services that leverage application network architecture.

Dilip Kumar, Regional Director, India sub-continent, Datacraft said, "The company's IP telephony solution set makes use of the company's proven project management methodology and integration framework to combine best-of-breed elements from its partners with its own intellectual property."

Datacraft's plans for this financial year include introduction of the advanced architecture services. The IP telephony solutions and services launched, is part of their offerings in the advanced architecture services segment, which in a phased manner would also extend to include IP convergence and Web services.

"While our new IPT solutions will certainly help companies cut their telephone bills, they are really geared to generating added value by creating a framework in which almost any enterprise systems, such as enterprise portal or CRM, can be harnessed in dynamic new business applications," Kumar added.

The application network solutions market in India is currently 20 percent of the network infrastructure market and is expected to reach 50 percent by 2005. Gartner has projected that network infrastructure would be one of the top five priorities of companies in the Asia-Pacific till the end of next year.
