D-Link slashes price of its routers by 20%

Mumbai: D-Link plans to implement a new pricing strategy for wireless N routers. Beginning this year, D-Link had shared its plans to concentrate further on strengthening its channel strength. Moving further, D-Link has decided to increase its penetration in the consumer space.

As per the new pricing strategy, the prices of D-Link N standard wireless router have been slashed by 20 percent. D-Link N standard wireless router includes model no DIR-615, DIR-635 and DIR-655. "Customers today are demanding speedy Internet and better coverage. N standard routers suffice all these requirements, as they offer high speed with better flexibility and scalability. Further, with this new pricing policy on N standard router, we intend to make Internet affordable for the masses,” said Jayesh Kotak, VP-Product Marketing, D-Link (India).

Kotak further added, “D-Link is known for its value proposition. Our idea and mission has always been to make technology affordable for the mass market consumers, and small to medium business, so that everyone can realize the benefits of technology. At the same time, this new pricing policy will also allow us to reach-out to newer regions.” D-Link routers use wireless 'N technology', which offers increased speed and range over the 802.11g/b standard.
