D-Link hosts Explore '05—'06 in East

D-Link (India) Ltd, the leading telecom and networking
equipment vendor recently held its multi—city channel promotional activity
across Eastern India. The event was hosted in Kolkata on December 15, followed
by Raipur on December 19 and Bhubaneswar on December 21, 2005.

The main objective of the event was to update the channel and
make them aware of new business opportunities for them with the latest range of
D-Link products and technology that will in course help then in their further
growth. "This will help them to upgrade their knowledge and skills as
well," said Tushar Sighat, VP, Channel Business, D-Link who also gave a
well-formulated presentation of the newest products.

According to Sighat, vendors are planning to change the ADSL
enabled homes into digital homes with their latest technology-based products
like, DSM 320 RD (DVD media player), IP cameras, IP radios, etc. "The cost
has come down drastically making these products affordable for the home
segment," informed Sighat. The company is also targeting the most growing
segment that is the SME and SOHO along with the home users.

For their channel partners also, D-Link has specified certain plans and
strategies that includes proper technical training for the new products,
introduction of attractive incentive schemes, media and advertisement activities
and various publicity activities like road shows and seminars.
