In the recently announced report by
Gartner, href="https://www.dqweek.com/cyberstar-joins-hands-with-cyberoam-2">Cyberoam
has been rated as the visionary quadrant of the
'Magic Quadrant for Unified Threat Management.' Talking about the same
LK Pathak, Chief
Manager-Corporate Communications, Elitecore Technologies said, style="background: transparent none repeat scroll 0% 0%; -moz-background-clip: border; -moz-background-origin: padding; -moz-background-inline-policy: continuous;">
“Cyberoam has evolved into one of the emerging companies in the
security market and as far as UTM is concerned, we are present
across 90 countries globally. We provide an in-built global support
which is based out of India and has made mandatory to resolve all the
cases in 20 minutes. I believe that service is necessary and the
vendor has to gear up to the expectation of the customer. We owe our
success to our service which includes the best support management.”

According to the href="https://www.dqweek.com/tablets-smartphones-challenge-pc-market-gartner">Gartner
report, “In
2009, the worldwide UTM market was worth approximately $1.5 billion,
representing 25 percent growth over their 2007 estimate, with a
forecast of 20 percent to 25 percent compound annual growth rate
through 2012. This market is largely driven by turnkey appliance
solutions, although there are pure software UTM solutions available.”
Divulging more details on the same
Pathway also said that it is important to maintain loyalty with the
partners especially in the UTM segment. He said that UTM requires
much load and sometimes certain features are not available in a
product.

“It is a
fact that that the vendor business models are evolving. UTM changes
the model from a capital-focused one to a service-focused one. style="background: transparent none repeat scroll 0% 0%; -moz-background-clip: border; -moz-background-origin: padding; -moz-background-inline-policy: continuous;">When
under
a support agreement that provides constant updates the
firewalls will get less expensive and useful. In fact, small
to mid-size business software-based firewalls are coming to market
for free, based on the idea that they will generate revenue through
support and subscription fees. It worked for razors; it can work for
firewalls,” added Pathak. Hemal Patel, CEO, Elitecore Technologies,
“We consider our position in the visionary quadrant as a testimony
to our in-depth understanding of SMB security issues, and the amount
of innovation we put into addressing those challenges. Cyberoam's
product development efforts are directly driven by customer pain
points and we stand out in the security space due to our timely
ability to launch innovative products based on a well-defined market
feedback analysis.” Meanwhile Cyberoam is coming up with a
built-in security product exclusively for the SOHO segment. The
manufacturing unit for the product is supposed to be in Taiwan and
China.
