MIT's Technology Review, Inc and CyberMedia have entered an agreement to
launch Indian editions of the EmTech (Emerging Technologies) Conference and the
award-winning magazine Technology Review.
"We met with several excellent potential partners and went through a rigorous
selection process," said Jason Pontin, Editor-in-Chief and Publisher of
Technology Review. "It was a difficult decision, but given CyberMedia's decades
of experience in technology publishing, they were the clear choice in the end,"
he added.
The launch of EmTech India, the premier technology conference for corporate
leaders, is planned for early 2009. The Indian edition of Technology Review will
be introduced at the conference and then published monthly.
"We are excited at the prospect of introducing the conference and the
publication to the Indian technology community," said Pradeep Gupta, Chairman,
CyberMedia Group. "This will be
the 16th media offering for us, expanding our existing presence in the
technology sector. MIT's Technology Review brings the best and latest
developments on emerging technologies that have the power of transforming the
Indian technology sector," added Gupta.
This will be the first time an EmTech Conference will be held away from MIT
and outside the United States.
