Designed with a ruggedised chassis, the new 2go Studybook L7 tablet packs 2GB DDR2 RAM and 32GB M-SATA SSD standard hard drive. The tablet device also comes equipped with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, webcam, USB port, a microSD card slot, audio out, 3G and mini-HDMI for better connectivity. It sports a 17.78-cm (7-inch), 1024x600, capacitive touchscreen, an Intel Atom z650 processor and the device is compatible with both Microsoft Windows 7 and Android operating system.

"CTL launched our first tablet in 2008, long before tablets were the must have devices. We know tablets and we are very excited to be introducing the first ruggedised 7-inch tablet in the market. Customers have many choices in the tablet space. The 2go studybook L7 tablet fills an important space as a purpose built device for education, mobile workforce and vertical markets," said Erik Stromquist, COO, CTL.

The 2go Studybook L7 tablet is designed for a variety of harsh real-world environments. It can withstand drop from desk height and the device is also water resistant. Additionally, the rugged tablet offers pre-installed educational software, including classroom management, LabCam applications, which support scientific inquiry and an optimized e-reader for students.

Stromquist added, "We plan to ship the product to CTL partners, which include partners outside of the USA. CTL has several new tablets in the work including our popular 2go line as well as a new business line of tablets under another CTL brand."

Available in configurations starting at under $300, the 2go Studybook L7 Tablet with Windows 7 OS is now available for pre-order now at CTL.net. However, the Android models will be available for order in June.
