Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) India Pvt Ltd, Indore Center, was assessed and rated at Maturity Level 5 of Software Capability Maturity Model (v1.1) for all software development and maintenance activities (excluding Software Subcontract Management) in December 2002. The assessment was led by SEI authorized lead assessor Rajesh Naik of QAI India Ltd. using CBA IPI methodology (v1.2). The
centers achievement is noteworthy also because the transition from CMM Level 4 to CMM Level 5 has been achieved in a record time of 8 months.
CSC India has successfully completed hundreds of software projects in US, Canada, Argentina, Costa Rica, UK, Ireland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, South Africa, Hong Kong, Singapore and Australia. CSC India has
developed domain expertise in Property and Casualty Insurance, Life Insurance, Baking and Healthcare Industries. It is one of the fastest

187 assessments (including maturity level 5), second only to the US with 1,563 assessments (including maturity level 5).
UK with 110 (no level 4 and 5) and France with 105 (no level 5) rank third and fourth respectively. CSC Indore, India, joins the
ranks of only 42 select organizations in the Indian software industry and 76 companies worldwide, that have attained CMM
Level 5 rating.
