CoSine Communications Inc-a developer of managed, network-based IP service delivery platforms for service providers-has announced its entry into the Indian market, where it will offer the only true network-based IP service delivery platform in the country.
CoSine will also introduce in India its IPSX Service Processing Switch, IPSG Service Generator, InVision and InGage Network Management Systems. These systems' unique architecture provides processing capabilities designed to match the capacity of service providers' edge transport build outs and allows them to bundle network-based, value-added services with their high-speed access services.
This integrated platform can dramatically reduce time to market of new services for service providers and reduce operational costs. As part of its South Asia expansion, CoSine is already in touch with target Indian service providers and will begin to extend its presence through various local strategic partnerships.
"Intense competition across the telecom industry has many service providers seeking the most efficient processing technology for delivering network-based IP services," said Chris Casey, GM, ASEAN region, CoSine. "With profit margins reducing in basic Internet and IP transport service offerings, CoSine's solutions will help service providers in India to offer new value-added services for their subscribers to develop new revenue streams and increase profits."
