Confed-ITA to implement its 'SOUL' project

Confed-ITA
has set a date to implement its much awaited Stand On Our Legs (SOUL)
project. The association during its executive committee meeting on June
11 at Trichy
will
give a green signal to its SOUL project. The association has been
working on it for the last three years.

Speaking
exclusively with The DQWeek, A Muthuswamy, president,
Confed-ITA said, “Launching of the SOUL is one of the prestigious
projects of our association and its members. We have been working
very hard with our members, vendors and distributors to get unanimous
decision for implementing it across Tamil Nadu. Before we roll out,
SOUL has already received consent from 900 individual resellers and
all 22 associations participating in it.”

The SOUL
project will make Confed-ITA members to be more self empowered.
Moreover, it would ensure better lifestyle of partners and their
family and funding among others. Explaining about SOUL, Karthikeyan
S, who has been the driving force behind this project said, “The
vendors and distributors have agreed to charge 0.1% extra on the
first billing, which the dealer will further charge from the end
customers. The accumulated fund will be used for the welfare of our
channel partners.”


PN Prasad,
advisor, Confed-ITA said, “SOUL is going to change the way
vendors/distributors/resellers contribute together towards the
welfare of channel community. It also demonstrates that the channel
partners can rise above personal agenda when it comes to collective
welfare-while remaining fiercely competitive among themselves.”

The rolling
out of this project has also brought a smile on other associations.
According to A Gunasekaran, president, NITA (Nilgiris Information
Technology Association), “We have already given our confirmation to
SOUL project and it will benefit us as we will get some funds. All
our members can go for health insurance apart from accidental
insurance. Besides NITA can have its own building with the help of
these funds.”

Besides
SOUL,
Confed-ITA also has a group insurance policy for each member.
Presently, the association is working on GT2GT (get together to grow
together) program, which the association will organize in August,
2011,” concluded Muthuswamy.
