CONFED ITA exchanges business ideas with Taiwanese Delegation

As part of its ‘Mission to India’, a delegation led by the New Taipei City Computer Association (NTCA) recently visited Chennai to explore business prospects in South India.

A delegation led by YEH, Huey-Ching, Commissioner of Economic Development Department, met representatives of CONFED ITA to facilitate business ties. The 15 member delegation showcased their innovative products to the CONFED members.

However, Pratheesh Mathew, Joint Secretary of CONFED ITA said that the members got the opportunity to experience the technology innovations brought in by the Taiwan in the field of IT. However, he said that NTCA needed to clarify their trade policy in South India and encourage manufacturing in the region.

“NTCA needs to clarify their trade strategy in India. Also they should focus on local manufacturing”, he said.

It is to be noted that the Federation of All India IT Associations (FAIITA) and the New Taipei City Computer Association (NTCA) have signed a MoU to strengthen the business ties between India and Taiwan.

According to the MoU, FAIITA and NTCA have agreed to exchange information on the market and industry trends. The agreement aims to promote conferences of the associations in both the regions for the technological cooperation and trade partnership between members.
