Comstor, a division of distribution
company Westcon Group, on a recent visit to India, shared the
company's plans for the coming year. Jon Pritchard, President-
Worldwide, Comstor said, “We are expanding globally very fast and
establishing footprints across the world. Since Indian market is very
significant to us, we wanted to have a local setup here. We source
local talent since its a better and more efficient way of doing
business.” Comstor has its single focus set on href="https://www.dqweek.com/fake-cisco-products-on-the-web">Cisco
and feels that
it is a better way of showcasing the products.

The company has 400 partners in India
and is looking at ramping up in the coming year. Comstor's channel
model is divided into three parts— traditional Cisco direct
partners, existing indirect partners and other partners. The company
is planning to target all the three sections and will come up with
aggressive marketing plans. Pritchard said, “We approach all the
three layers of channels individually since their needs will be
different. They will have different requirements, mindsets, target
audience etc. We do not want our focus to get mixed up.” The
company is bringing out channel enablement programme by emphasizing
on technology focus in the market. Inspite of being only six months
in relationship with Cisco, the company has already identified its
competitors and penetration area.

Sharing the go-to-market strategy
Pritchard revealed, “We want to have long term partnerships with
our partners. Our main strength is our marketing capabilities and we
will enable our partners to take all our products/solutions to the
market. We want to demystify Cisco's solutions. Our sales guys
understand Cisco much better and since we do not deal with multiple
brands, we can focus better.” The company is hopeful of its marketing
plans and hopes to win acceptance from partners as well.
