Compudyne posts growth of 297 percent

Bangalore based Compudyne Winfosystems Ltd (CWL), has achieved a sales turnover of Rs 691.67 lakh for the three months ended 31st December, 2000 as against Rs 165.36 lakh in the corresponding three months in the previous year ended 31st December 1999, registering a growth of 297 percent.

Net Profit for the quarter ended 31st December, 2000 increased to Rs 190 lakh as against Rs 49.02 lakh for the corresponding previous year registering a growth of 288 percent. The EPS for the quarter ended 31st December, 2000 stood at 3.03 as compared to 0.97 in the corresponding period last year.

CWL's main focus area of e-commerce/e-business contributed 60 percent of the total revenue and the remaining 40 percent came from multimedia activities. S S Dahiya, Chairman and MD, Compudyne said "We will be intensifying our Multimedia operations by acquiring a US based company very soon, which would give our multimedia operations a headstart in the US and provide access to a large client base". 

"The acquisition will help us achieve 100 percent growth in the next fiscal with the Multimedia division contributing nearly 60 percent of our revenues as against the current 40 percent," added Dahiya.
